What Ethos Young Leaders means to me

Katie Stephenson
“Since joining Young Leaders, I have expanded and grown the knowledge I gained from studying event management at university. I am now working in a role where I am doing exactly what I was learning about in university so all the knowledge I have gained from my studies is now being used in a professional space. For example, I have been working closely on the 1Team Active project, which is all about improving wellbeing and health through sports. I have been developing a plan to set up for the event days that we will be running from July. I am currently leading a small team to develop a children's activity book to be completed throughout the 11-week 1Team Active events programme, as well as beginning to create content such as quizzes and recipe cards. These will be added to our online events platform ready for participants to use during the events. Sitting in on meetings with participants and hearing their thoughts and questions has been a great way for me to develop the event & overall experience moving forward. The work I am doing now is exactly the type of career I want. I love that it has been so interactive, that I can get help when I need it and that I have opportunities to get involved in anything I want to at Ethos.”
