What Ethos Young Leaders means to me

As an entrepreneurial graduate, I was excited by the possibilities of the Ethos “Machine”. Since joining Young Leaders I would say my support for the tech capability internally has contributed to the building of systems to help us all work better together. I'm an engineer by trade but I am very much used to being hands-on with heavy machinery. Working virtually was a totally new experience and I knew it was something I'd need to develop and adapt to for software engineering. I have taken on the role of project coordinator for the development of the Noggin property app and am learning the rhythms and disciplines of ‘agile scrum’ methodology. Working with the development team, it is exciting to see the personal developments of each individual. I was attracted to the iheart programme for mentorship development and found it is providing me with a greater understanding of myself and how other people are ‘programmed’. Since taking on a role as a work navigator, I am now mentoring three new recruits which is something I enjoy and would love to carry on over my entire career.
