Olivia Macky
We are delighted to welcome volunteer partner, Olivia Mackyhttps://www.ethosvo.org/wilder-sensing-project/ to support the Ethos Wilder biodiversity sensing project – Wilder Sensing.

Project owner Geoff Carss, says,

“With her background in Chemical Engineering, professional experience in project and operations management, and an MSc in Sustainability Science and Policy, Liv is providing excellent support, insight and inspiration to our team.”

Liv’s deliverables for Ethos Wilder include:

  • Finalising the development of the Wilder Sensing pitch deck
  • Help on planning sensor deployments and sensor selection
  • Supporting on the supply chain
  • Building external relationships to support Wilder

Olivia says,

“I grew up spending time on our family farm in New Zealand and exploring nature – while witnessing the fragility of it – and I have long been interested and concerned by the state of the environment and what lives within it. As a result, making meaningful and effective change for nature and the climate is one of my key personal and career goals, as I want to leave the world in a better place for the generations to come – so they can enjoy nature and explore it as I have had the privilege to.”

We hope that involvement with Wilder helps get Liv’s career in sustainability off to a good start and moves toward her stated goal: to see the damage done by human societies minimised and ideally reversed.
