What Ethos Young Leaders means to me

“After graduating from University with a degree in psychology, I began job hunting. I joined Ethos primarily to work in finance and operations so that we could increase our capacity in that space. I have learnt many new things about finance since starting at Ethos and have been able to develop a lot of new skills. Recently these have included some spreadsheet work involving DWP payments for Young Leaders and monitoring remittances. Aside from finance, I have also had the opportunity to work in a lot of other areas and projects within Ethos. For example, I’ve been involved in Aspect, a new magazine that aims to create conversation about social, cultural and environmental issues. I have run focus groups for Aspect to gather feedback on the new website and I am now working within Aspect’s social media team. It has been lovely to be so involved in Aspect’s progression and to see it come to life knowing that I have contributed to this. I’ve also been involved in recruitment for Young Leaders which is something I had no experience of before but found it really rewarding to talk to so many enthusiastic young people. It has been really enjoyable to learn new things from the other partners and young leaders and to work in such a collaborative way.”
